Abstract:The technology for treating soft foundations has become increasingly mature. For shallow liquefiable soil layers, treatment methods such as surface vibration compaction and replacement can be adopted; for deep liquefiable soil layers, measures such as vibroflotation, dynamic compaction, enclosure, and the installation of sand and gravel piles to strengthen the foundation drainage can be used. This article intends to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of the soft gravel foundation and propose the treatment method of turning and pressing, which can effectively solve the problems such as insufficient bearing capacity of the river embankment foundation, seismic liquefaction, uneven settlement, and seepage failure.
