Abstract:Taking the Guancheng River and its tributaries in the urban area of Anshun City in Southwest China as the research object, this study analyzes the causes of malodorous water bodies in the rivers systematically, and adopts control measures comprehensively such as pollution source control and interception, endogenous treatment, ecological restoration, water activation and quality maintenance, and long-term management and improvement to comprehensively harness and ecologically restore the malodorous river sections. After the treatment, the consecutive monitoring was conducted monthly for half a year. The results show that the ammonia nitrogen NH_4+-N) concentration at each monitoring point dropped below 8mg / L, the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration reached above 2mg / L, the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) increased to above 50mV, and the transparency reached above 25cm . The malodorous water bodies in the Guancheng River and its tributaries were eliminated, and the water quality in river was significantly improved. By improving 6 operating systems and 8 management systems, a long-term management and protection mechanism was established, restoring and constructing a sustainable river ecosystem fundamentally.
