Abstract:Based on the rainfall data during the top 3 rainfall processes in July 2024, and the observed water level data of the Nansu River channel, this article analyzes the relationship between the rainfall in the basin and the rise of the river channel water level, and reveals the changing characteristics of the relationship between the rainfall and the river channel water level within the river basin and the possible driving factors. The analysis shows that urbanization has a great impact on the runoff generation and concentration processes in Nansu River Basin, which almost occurs simultaneously with the effective rainfall. When the precipitation intensity exceeds $7\mathrm{mm}$ within two hours of the rainfall process, the water level of the river channel begins to rise. About 5 hours after the start of the rainfall process, the flood peak appears at the Fuzhuang observation station, and reaches the Xuzhuang observation station about 7 hours later. The research results can provide a reference for the short-term forecast of floods in Nansu River, especially for the regulation of river channel water levels and the utilization of rainwater and flood resources.
