Abstract:Achieving the "dual carbon" goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is an important strategy for China to respond to global climate change and promote green and low-carbon development. In this context, as important infrastructure for social and economic development and ecological environment protection, the water projects utilize the energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies, which have great significance to the realization of the "dual carbon" goals. This paper analyzes the importance of energy-saving and emission-reduction in water projects under the "dual carbon" goals, discusses the core content of the technologies in water projects from the aspects of optimizing energy structure, improving project efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and expounds the practical application and effects of the technologies combined with typical cases. Finally, it puts forward suggestions for further promoting energy-saving and emission-reduction in water projects, including policy support, technological innovation and multi-party collaboration, so as to provide reference for the low-carbon transformation of the water industry.
