Abstract:Developing water storage spaces such as underground aquifers and karst caves, as well as conducting planned recharge and recovery of aquifers, is an important approach to improving water storage and regulation capacity. It boasts many advantages including high efficiency, environmental friendliness and economic viability. The development and utilization modes vary due to the influences of climate, geographical location, hydrogeological conditions and other factors. Weihai is typical in natural endowments, climate and geographical location. Taking the development of the Muzhu River Underground Reservoir as an example to provide certain reference for other similar cities in developing underground reservoirs.
