Abstract:Xiongjia Guaiguai debris flow is a typical spoil sheet erosion-induced debris flow. Based on field investigations, this paper systematically analyzes the zonal characteristics and dynamic parameter characteristics of Xiongjia Guaiguai debris flow, and discusses the genesis mechanism of spoil sheet erosion-induced debris flow. The study holds that Xiongjia Guaguai debris flow, featuring small scale, high flow velocity, short process duration, large impact force and strong concealment, is an extremely destructive natural disaster. Its formation is attributed to several conditions, including loose material sources with strong permeability, a combined rainfall pattern of lasting rainfall and short-duration heavy rainfall, and steep terrain conducive to water convergence. In view of the characteristics of such debris flow, disaster prevention and mitigation measures combining slope stabilization, retaining and drainage are proposed, which can provide a reference for the disaster prevention and mitigation of this type of debris flow.
