Abstract:Taking the Water Diversion Project to Jiaodong Area as the research object, this paper retrospectively statistics the operation duration in ice periods over the years, analyzes the relationship between water diversion periods and ice periods, and puts forward the importance of strengthening risk identification, prevention and control during the ice period of the project. Meanwhile, ice period risk analysis is carried out on open channels, aqueducts, pumping stations and pressure culverts within the project scope. The formation process, mechanism, trend and hazards of icing in open channels and aqueducts are emphatically expounded, while the potential ice-induced hazards of pumping stations and pressure culverts are briefly described, which are less affected by ice periods. Correspondingly, effective prevention and control measures for channels, aqueducts, pumping stations and culverts during ice period operation are proposed.
