Abstract:The problem of groundwater over-extraction is becoming increasingly severe in Bincheng District, Binzhou and the implementation of systematic treatment has become a key measure to realize the sustainable utilization of regional water resources. Based on the treatment idea of rainfall and flood resource replacement-water system connectivity optimization-sealing and management of motor-pumped wells, this paper takes four core projects including the Fujia River water diversion project, Shengli River-Lanjia Second Main Canal water system connectivity project, West Shahe River-Lanjia Fourth Main Canal water system connectivity project and deep confined water well sealing project, and systematically analyzes the comprehensive treatment scheme and practical effects of groundwater over-extraction in Bincheng District. The results show that the implementation of the projects can reduce the annual exploitation of deep groundwater by about 1.7 million m3, effectively mitigate the pressure of groundwater over-extraction in Bincheng District, and provide a replicable engineering model for the treatment of similar over-exploitation areas.
