Abstract:This paper analyzes and evaluates the current situation of the hydrological station network in Jining Municipality from four aspects: station network density, layout, functions and monitoring capacity. The results show that it has established a full-range monitoring network whose density meets international standard requirements in Jining, effectively supporting flood control, drought relief and water resources management. Nevertheless, there are still deficiencies including insufficient monitoring coverage and capacity for small and medium-sized rivers, low level of automation level. In the future, it is necessary to optimize the layout and comprehensively improve the automatic monitoring capacity to underpin the construction of digital twin river basins and water security system.
