Abstract:Deep-hole flat steel gates feature complicated boundary conditions, and variation of support restraint directly affects the safe and stable operation of gates. To investigate the support restraint performance under different gate openings, a high-head deep-hole flat steel gate is taken as the research object. Based on ANSYS finite element software, a 3D finite element model for gate-main track support and a 2D plane strain model for top & side water seal and seal base plate are established. The contact characteristics between gate and gate slot under closed water retaining condition and gate opening-closing process are systematically analyzed, and the variation laws of contact stress, contact pressure and contact state of fixed wheels and water seals at different gate openings are revealed. The research results can provide reliable reference for structural design and safety assessment of similar gate projects.
