Abstract:

Focusing on the water culture and spiritual context of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project in Shandong, this paper analyzes the historical background of the project and explores the influences of historical traditions, modern experience and other factors. It elaborates on the connotation of the Shandong Spirit of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, including core elements such as harmony between humans and water and putting people first, and discusses its formation causes as well as paths for inheritance and promotion. The study shows that the Shandong Spirit of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project plays a vital role in advancing the development of water resources protection undertakings, and can provide practical guidance for subsequent project construction and cultural inheritance.
